Bustle Bride: Caroline

Caroline Wheeler was such a beautiful bride on her big day. She tied the knot at Trinity United Methodist Church here in Homewood, AL. We loved helping her find her dream wedding dress. She chose a gorgeous drop waist ballgown adorned with impeccable beadwork on the bodice, and she totally rocked her dress. Her reception was quite the party. She transformed The Barn at Shady Lane into, as her photographer put it, "an unbelievable art installation."

We were so overjoyed to be apart of helping her choose the gown of her dreams!

Bustle Bride: Nancy Stringer Thomas

Nancy was such a sweet and easy bride, willing to try on anything we presented her! She kept and open mind and in the end, decided on a super flattering fit & flare gown with ruched bodice and scooped neckline. Her chic birdcage veil was absolutely the icing on the cake - she looked smashing on her special day with Marcus.

Bustle Bride: Stefania Cumuze Yuhas

Stefania is such a joy, we absolutely LOVED getting to know her. Many thanks so the wonderful Evan G. Cooper for sending her our way!

Stefania chose a stunning Melissa Sweet gown and had it customized by the fabulous Catherine Ryals. Catherine dropped the lining in the back to create a beautiful lace illusions scoop back. It is perfectly Stefania! Take a look at a few of our favorite photos from her wedding to John Yuhas.

Catherine Ryals: seamstress and designer.

This lovely woman is Catherine and she is the most talented seamstress we have ever met.

Catherine has been sewing since age 6 when she began making clothes for her dolls. She has been perfecting her craft ever since and now has an adorable studio in Mountain Brook which is home to Catherine Ryals Couture. Not only is she is able to transform any gown with exactly the right alterations, she is also an incredible designer. She has created couture bridal and mother-of-the-bride gowns as well as frocks for numerous other affairs. Below are just a few of the wedding gowns from her original Stella Reese collection.

Meet our intern, Laura Walker

Laura has jumped on board the Bustle train and we are absolutely in love! She has a sweet spirit and a brilliantly creative mind that is always churning. The project on the board right now is our open house party, set to take place at the end of the summer. Laura is working away on designing party invitations (that are absolutely gorgeous, by the way), planning decorations and putting her touch of charm on every detail.

To give your eyes something to feast on, check out this wonderful dress she made entirely of pages from a book::

And here's a piece from one of her invitation suites::

Laura, we couldn't be happier that you chose to spend your summer with us. We can't wait to see what the future has in store. In the words of Gretchen Wieners, 'You're so fetch!'
